Advising Family Planning Australia on their research approach for women's health on Nauru

Activity: Professional Engagements › Consultancy

Description

Family Planning Australia's 'EPICC' program supports cervical cancer elimination initiatives across the Pacific, including in Nauru, where they have been supporting the Hospital and Public health teams since 2024 with an HPV self-collected screening program. The program is currently exploring opportunities to undertake some research in Nauru into general health-seeking behaviour, as well as evaluating the models being used for cervical screening. I met with them to advise them on their research approach, share existing research, and offer feedback on their plans.
