A mixed government/non-government roundtable exploring the emerging “Governing Human” framework and its relevance to public sector reform, with insights drawn from the UK experience.As the limitations of New Public Management become increasingly apparent, governments are grappling with complex, intractable challenges that demand new institutional reflexes and capabilities. Amid declining trust in democratic institutions, there is a growing appetite for reform that is more agile, human, and hopeful.James Plunkett, a leading thinker in this space, will guide an informal conversation on the “craft of transition” — how systems adapt, shift resources, and reimagine governance.
