Awarded in 2025, this launch event marks the official commencement of a four-year ARC Discovery Indigenous project. The research examines how Australians engage in national conversations about reconciliation. It asks whether improved public knowledge of First Peoples' histories can raise the quality of public discussion. Held during Imersia in September, the launch brings together the project's national research team, drawn from three universities. The event opens the project's first public conversations. It introduces the research program, its community partnerships and its planned outputs across scholarly publication, podcasting and immersive media.
