Data Impact Forum (second) — “Data as a Pathway to Impact: an Analysis of Australian Research Impact Narratives”

Activity: Contribution to Event/Engagement › Contribution to Conference/Workshop

Description

The closing forum of the ARDC’s research-data-and-impact programme, presenting Associate Professor Eric Jensen’s analysis of the most data-focused impact cases in the ARC’s 2018 Engagement and Impact Assessment — the Australian counterpart to the UK REF analysis presented at the first forum in August 2019. Paul organised the forum and holds the opening slot in the programme, introducing the acknowledgement and context before ARDC Chief Executive Rosie Hicks. The remainder ran as Jensen’s presentation, a QandA with Richard Ferrers reading questions, and a panel and open forum chaired by Adrian Burton with the ARC, NHMRC, CSIRO, the Australian Data Archive and the Department of Education confirmed. Notable for the timing: Paul left the ARDC at the end of June 2020 for the ANU, and stayed on to see this final seminar through.
