Description
Part of ANU panel of experts at IndoPac: Australia's international defence and commercial maritime exposition.
The topic was “Research, Education and Policy in a Sea-blind Country: Perspectives from a Land-Locked Territory”
While Australia is an island continent heavily dependent on communication and transport over, on and under the sea, it is often regarded as a ‘sea-blind’ country. This panel brings together a range of policy, humanities and science researchers from the Australian National University on the shores of mighty Lake Burley Griffin, to discuss how the maritime domain touches on national research, education and policy debates and capabilities.
