Introduction to the AFRAN Forum 2024: “The role of research and innovation in industry, policy and public dialogue” 5 November “The role of research and innovation in industry, policy and public dialogue”: the 8th Australian-French Association for Research and Innovation (AFRAN) Inc. forum was held over three days, from the 4-6 November 2024 at the Australian National University in Canberra. This forum was supported by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources of the Australian Government and the Ministère des Affaires étrangères français. 🎯 Objectives: promoting the role of scientific research in multilateral discussions, especially in the context of global events to be held in France (UNOC) and possibly in Australia (COP). Empowering women in science, global health and healthy environments, a goal we aim at together with the Australian Global Alliance! seeking to enhance exchanges between researchers, industry players and policy makers.
