Description
The Machine Listening Winter School is a curated series of workshops and events centred around the machine listening exposed curriculum, a collaboration of inter-disciplinary researchers from many institutions focused on privacy, security and political implications of Machine Listening technologies such as speech recognition.
Machine Listening is the use of signal processing and machine learning for making sense of natural sounds, such as environmental scenes and events. The use of this data has profound implications for how we "make sense" of our built and natural environments, and how we interact with them.
Kathy has been invited to prepare and deliver a technically-oriented event as part of the Winter School, and is working with the convenors to lock this down.
