Description
A free public playback theatre performance presented by Rebus Theatre with SpringOUT, Canberra's annual month-long pride festival, on the theme “Pride in the Capital”: audience stories about LGBTQIA+ life in the ACT, improvised back to the room in real time by the Rebus Playback Theatre Ensemble. Registration was essential though tickets were free. The page also records that the ensemble itself grew out of Rebus's Actorvate playback training classes and was by then a continuing inclusive company. Playback theatre is described by the presenting company as “a form of improvisational theatre in which audience members tell stories from their own lives and watch as actors and musicians enact them on the spot using movement, music and words, but without script or rehearsal”.
