RIA Data Management Pilot Workshop – Melbourne (University of Melbourne)

Activity: Contribution to Event/Engagement › Contribution to Conference/Workshop

Description

“Research Data Management in Practice”. Half-day pilot workshop for Research Integrity Advisors, convened by the working group formed in early 2016 by the University of Melbourne, the ARC, the NHMRC, ARMS and ANDS. Facilitated by Dr Daniel Barr (then Acting Director, Office for Research Ethics and Integrity, University of Melbourne) and Dr Paul Taylor (RMIT), with agency sessions from Justin Withers and Alex Parrinder (ARC) and Dr Wee-Ming Boon (NHMRC), Paul’s ANDS session at 11.45am, and a researcher perspective from Dr Nick Thieberger (School of Languages and Linguistics, University of Melbourne). The post-workshop survey returned a 50 per cent response rate and unanimous support for a national roll-out, which is what produced the 2017–18 series and the INORMS 2016 paper. This is the earliest delivery in the series and was missing from the register until the shared-drive pass. Organisation: ANDS in partnership with ARMS, the ARC, the NHMRC, the University of Melbourne and RMIT University; hosted by the University of Melbourne.
