Description
The second Sound Explorations season, presented over two Saturday nights at the ANU Drill Hall Gallery and supported by the Drill Hall Gallery and SoundOut, with entry by donation at $20 and $10. Paul performed on guitar on both nights. The organiser’s set list places him in the opening 7pm set on 28 September with Jamie Lambert on guitar and Miroslav Bukovsky on trumpet, and again in the opening 7pm set on 5 October with Charles Martin on computer and Yichen Wang on OP-1, followed on each night by a 9.25pm large ensemble of all the artists. He was billed in a group of thirteen that also included Brian McNamara on electronics and invented instruments, Bruce Spink on guitar and objects, Charles Martin on electronics and computer, Jamie Lambert on guitar, violin and objects, Jesse Twoney on phin and percussion, Karim Camprovin on vocals, Miroslav Bukovsky on trumpet, Nicci Haynes on drawing projections, Rhys Butler on alto saxophone, Richard Johnson on wind instruments, Stuart Orchard on guitar and keyboards, and Yichen Wang on VR electronics; the 28 September night additionally featured guests from Sydney, Laura Altman and Mathew (MP) Hopkins.
