Description

Host of members in program of work to establish partnership on critical technologies and digital economies between the Korean Development Institute (KDI) and the Tech Policy Design Centre (TPDC) at the Australian National University. This project is funded by the Korean Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Australia-Korea Foundation, and ANU (Tech Policy Design Centre). This project will support the establishment of a long- term Korea-Australia 2-track partnership on critical technologies and the digital economy. A shared interest in critical technologies and the digital economy has been recognised by Australia and Korea at the highest levels, including by leaders in the Australia-Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP); and in the Australia-Korea Memorandum of Understanding on Cyber and Critical Technology Cooperation. As part of the research program, KDI and TPDC will conduct joint research and hold public consultations in Australia and Korea to identify specific technologies and policy issues for which Australia and Korea have competitive advantages.
