Research Interests
Adam’s work combines linguistic and semiotic anthropology with critical studies of capitalism to analyze changing regimes of labor and the social inequalities they generate. He has explored these dynamics through research on construction work and infrastructural development in Delhi, India and on the shifting work and training regimes of engineers in the U.S. Currently, he is exploring the production and use of novel debt products that seek to leverage personal data to extend credit to the un- and under-banked in India.
