Biography

Alicia Gilchrist is a researcher and educator in the Research School of Management at the Australian National University, specialising in the intersection between psychology and project management. With a background as a registered psychologist, Alicia's research investigates how psychological factors—such as cognition, decision-making, cognitive biases, strategic misrepresentation, and interpersonal dynamics—operate within a project context.

Alicia is particularly interested in the front end of projects, where she believes that the foundation for project success or failure is set. Her work has been published in leading, peer-reviewed management journals, including Production, Planning and Control, International Journal of Project Management, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.
