Biography

Alistair (they/he/nhila, guwiiny) is a Wiradjuri, trans, queer fulla living and working on Ngunnawal Country. Their lived experience and work within community has led them to The Australian National University where they work as an Indigenous Academic Assiociate and are studying thir PhD on Queer Blak Joy!

They are currently tutoring in Introduction to Gender Studies, and engaged in other research on Queer Youth within the Archives. 

Outside of work they also are a drag performer, artist, storytellor, and overall silly little Crow.

Indigenous studies; Queer studies; Indigenous queer studies; Indigenous fat studies; Gender studies; Young people and wellbeing. 

My current research is exploring joy and belonging for Indigenous queer young people through storytelling.
