Biography

Andrew White completed his PhD at The University of Queensland in 2020, under the mentorship of Dr. Thomas Durek and Professor David Craik. His doctoral research focused on the synthesis and structural analysis of disulfide-rich peptides, with a particular emphasis on their applications in medicinal chemistry and chemical biology. In 2021, Andrew relocated to The Australian National University, where he joined Professor Lara Malins’ research group as a Research Fellow. At ANU, his research centres on developing novel synthetic methodologies to access complex peptide targets. Andrew’s broad research interests encompass the synthesis, structure, and function of peptides, with a focus on their potential applications in medicinal, agricultural, and biotechnological fields.
