Biography

Brenda is an interdisciplinary researcher within the ANU Centre for Energy Systems investigating the socio-technical and justice implications of emerging energy technologies and visions of our future energy system.  
Brenda completed a Master of Applied Cybernetics at the ANU in 2020 and has since researched and co-published articles on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on gender equity and marginalised populations. Brenda is also a Social Worker with over 15 years experience in the not for profit sector, supporting people from refugee backgrounds, those seeking asylum, as well as families facing homelessness.  She is passionate about social justice, diversity and community participation in the design and implementation of new technologies.
