Biography
Dr Catherine Ross works as an ecological consultant, with experience in flora and fauna ecology, woodland and grassland conservation and management, threatened species surveys and monitoring, and vegetation mapping.
Catherine completed her PhD at the ANU in 2020, studying the reintroduction of the Eastern Bettong Bettongia gaimardi to Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary, and their role as ecosystem engineers in grassy woodlands.
Prior to her PhD, Catherine conducted an honours project investigating eucalyptus dieback in the Monaro region, and the possible role of agricultural practices, fire regimes and climate. Catherine then went on to work for Greening Australia, working with landholders to develop and implement revegetation projects to achieve conservation and production outcomes.
