Biography

Chin Heng is an Honorary Research Fellow with Australian National University. His research interests include psychological contracts, role identities, self-concepts, career stage transitions and experiential learning. Chin Heng's research has been published in Human Relations and Journal of Management & Organization, and presented at various platforms such as ANZAM Conference, IERA Conference and International Resilience Revolution Conference. He also works on various research projects with academics from Singapore Management University and Singapore University of Social Sciences.

Before joining academia, Chin Heng has worked for more than 20 years in Singapore's non-profit and public sectors. Back then, he had built up volunteerism as Deputy Director of National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre; and in various capacities at Ministry of Trade and Industry, and SPRING Singapore (now "Enterprise Singapore"), enhanced the organisational effectiveness of enterprises.

Chin Heng sees academia and working alongside industry partners as abundant blessings from God, and feels thankful. When not busy at work, he visits the gym and goes for nature walks with his wife.
