Biography

Chloe (she/they) is a Lecturer in English in the School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics. She researches how genre and form create new affective fields in contemporary literature. They are particularly interested in the medical humanities, affect theory, and developments in life writing, including autofiction, autotheory, and experimental memoirs. They have previously taught at University College Dublin, the University of Melbourne, and the University of Auckland. Her first book, Writing Contested Illness: Experimentation in Contemporary Women's Life Writing, is forthcoming with Edinburgh University Press.
