Biography

Clem Davis is a retired meteorologist who worked as an operational forecaster for the Bureau of Meteorology for 33 years. After completion of the BoM meteorologist course in 1972, he has worked in Perth, Darwin and Canberra in the areas of day to day forecasting for public weather, aviation, marine and severe weather and climate services.

For the last 9 years before he retired in 2005 he was OIC of the Canberra Meteorological Office and was on duty of the Canberra bushfires on 17th January 2003.

From 2006 to 2016 he was a Visiting Fellow with the Fenner School of Environment and Society, and is now an honorary Lecturer at FSES, where he has been researching climate and climate change in local and regional patrts of Australia.
