Biography

Prof Daoyi Dong is a Future Fellow of the Australian Research Council at the School of Engineering, ANU, and a Fellow of the IEEE. He received a B.E. degree and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He is a recipient of a Humboldt Research Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany, the inaugural ACA Temasek Young Educator Award from the Asian Control Association, an International Collaboration Award, a Discovery International Award and an Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship from Australian Research Council. He was/is an Associate Editor or Guest Editor of several journals including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Annual Reviews in Control, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, and IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics.
