At the Fenner School, she provided teaching assistance to three courses: ENVS3041/6026 Managing Forested Landscapes, ENVS8018 Partnership Research for Agricultural and Natural Resource-Based Development, and ENVS3028/6528 Environmental Policy. She was also a member of the Advisory Group of The Forest Dialogue and was formulating the Field Dialogue on Ecosystem Restoration Initiative in Indonesian Borneo.
In 2023, Depi was a Lecturer at the ANU Fenner School of Environment and Society, following a year as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the ANU School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet). Her postdoctoral research examines the development and implementation of the Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification scheme at upstream and downstream value chains. It also investigates smallholders’ compliance with mandatory and voluntary sustainable palm oil certification instruments.
Before joining RegNet, she was a PhD Scholar at Fenner School of Environment and Society, the Australian National University. Her PhD thesis investigates the architecture, implementation, and actors’ compliance with mandatory and voluntary sustainability and legality instruments in Indonesian wood value chains. Depi has also worked on several research and training projects for the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry, collaborating with key international organisations, including MFP (UK-AID), SNV, RECOFTC, GIZ, AHT, and CIFOR-ICRAF.
Depi has contributed actively to the Fenner School of Environment and Society by being an International Student Speaker at ANU Opening Day 2020, HDR International Student Representative 2017-2019, and PhD Induction & Mini Retreat 2018 organiser.
