Biography
I am a PhD candidate at the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science (CPAS), The Australian National University.
My doctoral research focuses on global AI governance, expert participation, and how expert knowledge is authorised, constrained, or made institutionally consequential within governance institutions. I examine how expertise is incorporated into AI governance processes, and why expert participation does not always translate into meaningful institutional influence.
Drawing on my background in law enforcement, international liaison, and cross-border policy coordination, I am interested in how expert advice can support more effective and accountable governance of emerging technologies. My work aligns with CPAS themes on evidence, expertise and public policy, and novel technologies, innovation, and society.
My primary supervisor is Professor Sujatha Raman. My secondary supervisors are Dr Ehsan Nabavi and Dr Faranak Hardcastle.
