Biography

Eun Young (EY for short) is Lecturer in Organisation Studies/Management at the Research School of Management of the Australian National University, Australia. EY has demonstrated their passion for understanding contemporary phenomena through examining historical precedents, with their expertise in statistical analyses of longitudinal archival data. EY is very much interested in either actual or apparent public conformity to social norms and its unintended consequences, ranging from the gendered adoption of technological innovation in the late 19th-and early 20th century American society to the rise of minor political ideologies among neo-Confucian academies in the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. EY's preferred research context involves humans, animals and hybrids, and often integrates insights from economic sociology in management studies. EY's research has been conducted under the aegis of a range of institutional fundings, such as the Korean Studies Grant from the Academy of Korean Studies, South Korea and the ANU Futures Scheme from the Australian National University, Australia.

Before joining RSM, EY was a Research Fellow at the University College London, Research Associate at the Centre for Organisational Network Analysis (London), UK, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UQ. EY is also an Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy in the UK.
