Biography

Farnas is a Doctoral Researcher in Human Rights at the Australian National University, specialising in the protection of refugee children's rights. Her PhD project, "Evaluating the Role of UN Treaty Bodies on Refugee Children's Rights," provides the first comprehensive analysis of how UN Treaty Bodies interpret and apply human rights norms to children in refugee contexts.

Farnas earned an LLM in International Human Rights Law from University of Huddersfield, graduating with Distinction and a Bachelor of Laws from University of Chittagong, where she received mutiple merit based scholarships. She has presented her research at various leading academic platforms.

Alongside her research, Farnas serves as a Sessional Academic where she teaches International Law, Lawyers Justice and Ethics and Commercial Law. She also actively engages in community leadership initiatives and provides pro bono legal support.
