Biography
I am a research assistant at the ANU Law School, with scholarly interests at the intersection of jurisprudence and theology. I work with Associate Professor Joshua Neoh on a range of projects that explore the relationship between legal and religious thought, including two forthcoming titles with Cambridge University Press: End of Law versus Rule of Law and Antinomianism. As Carl Schmitt famously said, "all significant concepts of the modern theory of the state are secularised theological concepts". Broadly, these projects seek to shed light on the theological foundations of the secularised concepts of the state. They draw on the history of ideas to paint a picture of a landscape which includes the theological, the philosophical, and the jurisprudential. My other interests include Malaysian law and politics, as well as Scandinavian legal realism.
