Hanh Nguyen's research interests include economic security, regional security architecture, maritime security, Southeast Asia's geopolitics and Vietnam. She is particularly interested in the connection between economic developments and security implications. Her PhD research project examines the nexus between economic crises and Asia-Pacific security cooperation. Her research is funded by the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP).
