Biography
Janet Davey is a PhD candidate in the School of Literature, Languages & Linguistics (SLLL) and the Australian Centre on China in the World (CIW), researching native Chinese speakers’ understanding of chengyu 成语 ‘Chinese idiomatic expressions’.
Research Interests
Janet has a broad interest in Chinese linguistics, language processing, idiomatic language, Chinese official discourse, semantics and translation, as well as queer and Chinese Australian experiences.
