Biography

Juergen Meinecke is a Senior Lecturer of Economics. Juergen’s research is focused around structural and nonparametric estimation, partial identification, and dynamic programming with applications in labour, education, and health economics. For example, in health economics, Juergen has studied whether quality report cards for hospitals are necessarily a good idea, or if they have any unintended negative consequences. In education economics, Juergen makes contributions to the large literature on the returns to schooling. Juergen’s research has been published in a number of top-ranked journals including Econometric TheoryEuropean Economic ReviewHealth Economics, and Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics.
