Biography

Kapil D. Patel received his M.Sc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India, in 2010, and Ph.D. in Nanobiomedical Science with a major in Tissue Regeneration Engineering from Dankook University, South Korea, in 2015. He continued his research as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Tissue Regeneration Engineering (ITREN), Dankook University (2016-2019). He was promoted to Research Professor at Dankook University and worked at University College London (UCL), UK as visiting Research Fellow (2019-2020). He moved to the Korea University, South Korea (2020-2021) as a Research Professor, and then to the University of Bristol, UK as a Senior Research Associate (2021-2023). Currently, he is Research Fellow (Level B) at the Australian National University, Australia. His research interests include the development of functional nano-biomaterials for tissue repair and regeneration, 3D bioprinting, redox-active nanomaterials, and cancer theranostics.
