Biography

Kate Bellchambers is a PhD Candidate and Research Officer in POLIS@ANU. Kate’s doctoral work examines discourses of development in Indigenous Ranger Programs through policy analysis, interviews with public servants, and participatory research with Indigenous Rangers and communities in the Queensland Gulf Country. Kate started her career working in the Carpentaria Land Council Aboriginal Corporation's Land & Environment Unit. More recently, Kate has contributed to research at ANU spanning place-based education, research impact, Indigenous governance, Caring for Country, and Indigenous health and wellbeing.
