Biography

M. Lutfi Chakim is a PhD Candidate in Law at the Australian National University (ANU) School of Law.

Prior to commencing his doctoral studies at ANU, he served as a Researcher at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia, a position to which he will return upon the completion of his PhD.

His professional experience also includes serving as a Commissioner’s Assistant at the Judicial Commission of Indonesia (2013–2014) and Researcher at the Secretariat for Research and Development of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC SRD), which operates under the organizational structure of the Constitutional Court of Korea (2018-2020).

Research Interests

Chakim’s research interests focus on constitutional law, judicial review, and human rights issues.
