Biography

Mark is a Lecturer of Marketing in the College of Business and Economics at the Australian National University in Canberra. His research focuses primarily on understanding how visual aesthetic issues in branding intersect with consumer culture to help forge new webs of connection and construct, maintain, and circulate identity, including transnational and marginalised identities. Utilizing qualitative methods that include visual analysis, case-studies, in-depth interviews and co-design strategies, his research has been published in the European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Brand Management, and other journals in marketing and related disciplines.
