Biography
I am Associate Professor, Associate Director (Education) and Applied Cybernetics Lead at the School of Cybernetics in the College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics.
My PhD is from The University of Sydney. I have 30 years of experience in tertiary education and leadership. I also have over a decade of experience in HE business development and transnational education.
My teaching career has encompassed cybernetics, design history, design research and design thinking, art history and theory and media and communications studies
My research is in the history and theory of cybernetics, design, systems thinking, and artificial intelligence.
With colleagues at the School of Cybernetics I am currently developing a suite of short courses on cybernetic approaches to complex systems and the impact of emergent technologies, including AI.
