Dr Md Rezanur Rahaman is a medical doctor with specialist training in Applied Epidemiological Methods e.g. Outbreak Preparedness and Response, International Public Health and Health Management, Infectious Disease and Environmental Epidemiology, and a One Health approach having completed an MBBS, MSc (Appl. Epi), FETP, MIPH/MHM, and a PhD.
As Senior Lecturer at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health of the Australian National University, Rezanur serves as Primary Supervisor (PS) and Panel Chair (PC) of PhDs investigating “A One Health approach to sources and transmission of zoonotic enteric pathogens e.g. exposure and genomic data”, and “Strengthening Australia’s applied epidemiology workforce to manage biosecurity threats”; supervises (PS, PC) MPhil in Applied Epidemiology (MAE─The Australian Field Epidemiology Training Program) scholars; convenes coursework subjects; participates in ongoing curriculum development; prepares and delivers tutorials, lectures, workshops and seminars; and undertakes collaborative research in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
