Biography

I am currently a PhD Candidate at the Humanities Research Centre, researching the representation of ethnic minorities in China’s museums. With previous experiences conducting fieldwork in Guangxi and interning in Beijing and Shanghai, I developed a deep interest in this topic. I hold a MA degree in Cultural Heritage and Museology from Fudan University, with a thesis titled “Representing Ethnic Cultures in International Exhibitions Sent out by Chinese Museums”. My current research takes a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to examine the various actors involved and how they negotiate to curate exhibitions in China’s ethnic museums, aiming to contribute to a more nuanced understanding of this important issue.
