Biography

Dr Mousumi Rizia is a Research Fellow in the Neuroinformatics research group at the ANU School of Computing. Her research focuses on advancing artificial intelligence (deep learning and deep generative modelling) for the development of early, non-invasive anomaly detection methods across domains.

With more than a decade of experience at the intersection of technology and education, Dr Rizia is passionate about transdisciplinary collaboration and the co-production of impactful research and education. Previously, she served as a Research Associate at the NASA MIRO Aerospace Centre (former cSETR) at the University of Texas at El Paso, and held the rank of Squadron Leader in the Bangladesh Air Force.
