I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Clear Vision Research group at the Australian National University. My research primarily involves collaborating with external industry partners and academic collaborators to develop and assess novel therapeutics for retinal degeneration. In addition, I am involved in projects exploring the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases through aberrant cellular communication mechanisms.
I have experience in various neuroscience techniques, including in-vitro patch clamp recording, electroretinography, optical coherence tomography, RNA extraction and sequencing, rodent behavioural analysis, immunohistochemistry on neural tissues, and human high-definition transcranial direct current stimulation.
Passionate about making science accessible to the wider community, I have helped organise public outreach events such as the ANU Neuroscience Division's Science Week event "Brain Teaser" (2021-2023) and the ongoing Vision ACTion seminar series to engage both the scientific community and the public. Additionally, I have engaged with students in the National youth science forum, and well as school outreach programs initiated by the lab and the college.
