Biography

Nick is a final year PhD candidate in the Clear Vision Research Group, focusing on the physiological mechanisms of aging in the retina. His research explores how aging leads to retinal degeneration and also investigates the molecular mechanisms of physical exercise as a preventative treatment for the leading cause of blindness in Australia. Nick’s work involves innovatively harnessing the molecular mechanisms of physical exercise to preserve vision which will overall enhance the quality of life for the aging population.
