Biography

Nigel works at the intersection of education and industry as Senior Policy Manager for Skills and Education with Business NSW, and is a visiting Fellow with the Australian Studies Institute at the Australian National University. Nigel earned a first-class honours degree in Philosophy and a bachelor degree in Psychology before completing his PhD in Education on quality in doctoral education. Nigel has substantial experience in graduate research theory, practice and policy development. His current research interests include graduate mobility, pathways to attainment, the origins and purposes of the PhD and the definition and measurement of quality in graduate research.
