Liv (she/her) is a Criminology PhD Candidate and Research Officer, with a keen interest in youth policy.
Her doctoral research focuses on the barriers that schools face in implementing alternative disciplinary practices in schools. Positioned within the literature on the school-to-prison pipeline, this work investigates the persistence of school exclusion as a practice and explores how youth policies can be adapted to support more relational, non-exclusionary school environments.
Alongside her PhD, she supports work on the GENERATION Survey, a longitudinal study of young people in Australia.
