Biography
Following high-school, Peter spent five-years working with the volunteer organisation, Youth with A Mission, in Newcastle, Australia. He helped train and send over 200 young people into cross-cultural settings to deliver humanitarian aid in partnership with local church communities. As a mentor and facilitator of these outreach programs, Peter developed a passion to help people recognise and purposefully use their unique gifts and talents. He switched gears to pursue an undergraduate degree in psychology to learn how he could fulfill this passion further, specialising in the field of personality dynamics during his Honour’s year.
Applying for PhD candidature in the field of personality psychology, Peter’s research interests include how people vary in their momentary expression of who they are, how these differences influence their understanding of self and relationships with others, and how we can better support people who experience dramatic shifts in their everyday lives.
