Biography

Short Bio:  Associate Professor Rachel W. Li was a clinician, liver diseases specialist. She created an Endoscopic Drug Delivery device which was used in the stomach and liver cancer patients with acute haemorrhage. She received a National Innovation Award from Chinese Medical Association. She completed PhD in Southern Cross University and postdoctoral fellowship in USA, then an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology, University of Hawaii. She started her laboratory research focusing on the interplay among orthopaedic implant, bone and immune system after returning to Australia. She pinioned orthopaedic laboratory research in ACT region, which has not only produced high level science and emerging scientists, but all resulted in her being awarded funding from ARC, NHMRC, and CORE.
