Biography

Rakshanya is a final-year Medical Research PhD candidate in the Clear Vision Research Lab at ANU, developing novel extracellular vesicle-based therapeutics for age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Beyond my research, I am dedicated to promoting diversity in STEMM. As a Neuroscience HDR representative, ambassador for the Future Research Talent program, and a casual session academic at the Research School of Biology, I mentor undergraduate students interested in life science research. Additionally, I help organise Brainteaser, an annual Neuroscience outreach event, to make neuroscience research more accessible to the Australian public.
