Dr Rosalina Sa aga-Banuve

Dr Rosalina Sa’aga-Banuve is a distinguished public and clinical health leader with more than three decades of experience leading health and development initiatives across the Pacific and Southeast Asia. Currently heading the AU$7.5 million Pac-EVIPP+ program at the Australian National University, she champions workforce development in applied field epidemiology and fosters cross-regional collaboration. Her career spans key leadership roles with UNICEF, WHO, and DFAT funded programs, where she has guided national health strategies and supported Ministries of Health throughout the region. A consultant pediatrician with a master's in medicine, she brings clinical depth and strategic vision to every initiative.

Dr Sa’aga-Banuve’s expertise lies in translating global evidence into impactful local health solutions, particularly in maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases, and health systems strengthening. She is also a dedicated educator and mentor, having trained and supported hundreds of emerging professionals in epidemiology, childhood illness management, and public health leadership.
