Sarah Adams is a Senior Lecturer in the Research School of Accounting at ANU. Sarah's research focuses on how social and environmental issues and impacts can be measured, valued or reported on. She is particularly interested in diverse organisational forms like co-operatives, mutuals, charities and social enterprises. She is currently working on research grants in collaboration with the mutual and cooperative sector.
Sarah has won awards for her teaching. At ANU she convenes BUSN3001 Accounting Theory, BUSN7005 Contemporary Issues in Accounting, and BUSN3017 Corporate Social Responsibility, Accountability and Reporting.
Prior to joining ANU, Sarah worked at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, where she also completed her PhD on accounting for social impact by social purpose organizations. Prior to her PhD, Sarah worked at the Centre for Social Impact on practice projects on integrated reporting, social impact bonds and outcomes measurement at University of New South Wales and University of Western Australia. As a scholar, she has visited Oxford University, Stockholm Business School, and Monash University.
