I am a PhD Candidate (Screen Studies) in the School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics. My doctoral thesis, titled 'The Carnival of Coming-of-Age: Screening Girlhood in Contemporary Francophone Cinema', explores the recent rise in French and francophone girlhood films, and examines the relationship between girlhood, cinema and national identity.
My research has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals including French Screen Studies and the Australian Journal for French Studies. I have also presented my research at Australian and international conferences.
I also work as a casual academic in the College of Arts and Social Sciences, having taught in Screen Studies, English, Gender and French programs.
