Biography
Susan Hansen is an Associate Professor in the School of Cybernetics and School of Computing. Embracing a love of research, teaching and industry practice, Susan is an advocate for designing inclusive digital experiences at ANU as part of the Digital Master Plan.
Susan was introduced to human-centred design in her first role at CSIRO and since this time has focused her career on designing systems, services and products that are useful, useable and used. Susan has worked for a variety of consulting agencies, start-ups and universities across Asia, South Africa and Australia. In both her industry and academic work she is especially passionate about exploring culturally tailored approaches to engaging and designing with communities.
