Biography

Dr Tamara Riley is a Wiradjuri woman with family ties to Western New South Wales. She is a Research Fellow at Yardhura Walani – the National Centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing Research at the Australian National University (ANU).

Tamara completed her PhD at ANU in partnership with the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies and The Roslin Institute at the University of Edinburgh. As a veterinarian and epidemiologist, Tamara leads interdisciplinary research that brings together animal, human, and environmental health, alongside Indigenous worldviews, to advance Indigenous One Health in response to public health challenges.
