Biography

Dr Tehzeeb Zulfiqar is a Research Fellow at the National Centre of Epidemiology and Population Health at the ANU. Her current work focuses on evaluation of AusPathGen program using realist theory. Her research examines utility and cost-effectiveness of genomic based public health responses and capacity of transformation focusing on end-user acceptability and interpretation of results.

Tehzeeb has over 30 years of experience working on policy in Pakistan and Australia. She has been involved in numerous small and large program evaluations in Pakistan- the most 

significant one was the third party evaluation of Lady Health Workers in Pakistan conducted by the Oxford Policy Management, UK. Tehzeeb was the national lead for the evaluation.

Tehzeeb is currently an adjunct Associate Professor at the Health Services Academy, Pakistan. Her teaching experience include Family Medicine, Public Health Nutrition and Life Style Medicine, and Public Health. In Australia, she was a tutor at the ANU Medical school for 8 years for problem-based-learning and Population Health.

Tehzeeb holds a Doctorate and a Master’s in Public Health from the ANU. She also holds MPhil in reproductive Physiology, MSc in Community Nutrition and MBBS from Pakistan.
